Only a portion of my document printed.
• Make sure the document size in your
application’s Page Setup matches the
document size specified in the Print dialog
box.
Plate and Press Specific Issues
This section addresses plate and press specific issues.
Random holes (rocks) appear on my plate output.
• There may be dirt in the plate coating. Reprint
the image on a plate that has been protected
from the environment.
• The paper path may be dirty. Print several
blank sheets to clean the path. If necessary,
clean the printer. See “Cleaning the Printer” in
chapter 9. Use the cassette cover to prevent
dust and debris from settling on the paper and
getting into the printer.
Stray toner particles appear on the final press output.
• Static electricity can cause extra toner particles
to adhere to the plate before printing. Use
Myriad 2 Plate Prep to remove toner scatter
from Myriad 2 plates.
• Check the density setting on the printer and
reprint the plate. See “Adjusting Print
Density” in chapter 6.
• Run the plates from the multipurpose feeder.
