Calibration of the Ozone Generator

The ozone generator used on the 146iQ qualifies as a transfer standard
under current U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements.
In order to use it as a transfer standard, the user must certify the generator
following the procedures laid out in the Technical Assistance Document
for the calibration of ozone transfer standards.
In order to calibrate the ozone generator, ideally, an external reference
photometer is required. The procedure to calibrate the ozonator generator
with an external photometer is as follows:
1. Confirm that the internal photometer, if available as an option is set to
OFF, as shown below, in Settings>
Operation .
2. From the Home Screen, press Calibration>Manual Ozonator
Calibration>
Continue to Ozonator Lamp Power to Concentration
screen that correlates Lamp Power expressed in % drive to
Concentration. As detailed in the encountered informational screen,
confirm that the external reference photometer has been connected to
the bulkhead labeled ‘To Analyzer’ on the rear panel prior to
proceeding.
