NOTE: The data for Channel A and B, when selected, is converted back to
analog form and made available at the ch1 and ch2 connectors on the rear
panel of the detector. Refer back to the Installation chapter for further
information on these outputs.
Wavelength
Enter the desired wavelength in these fields. The acceptable range of
values is from 190 nm to 800 nm in absorbance mode or pixel number
2 to 511 in the intensity mode. The default for channel A is 254 nm
for absorbance and pixel 40 for intensity.
Bandwidth
Enter the desired bandwidth for the Savitsky-Golay filtering in these
fields when the absorbance mode is selected. The acceptable range is
from 1 to 99 nm in odd-number increments with 1 meaning no
filtering. The default is 5 nm.
NOTE: The Channel Wavelength value must not be set closer to the limits
than the (Bandwidth value - 1)/2.
HINT: Enter a wider bandwidth to improve signal-to-noise ratio.
Default, Get and
Load Buttons
The Default button sets all parameters to the default values applicable
to the specified mode. The Get From Detector button uploads and
displays the parameters currently stored in the detector. The Load To
Detector button downloads the currently displayed parameters to the
detector. Once a method is downloaded to the UV6000LP a
confirmation message is displayed indicating that the method was
sent.
THE DISPLAY PAGE
The Display page (Figure 5.5) displays status information across the
top portion, spectral scans in the middle graph area, and
chromatograms in the lower graph area. Light intensity scans or
absorbance spectra can be displayed in real time, or frozen for closer
inspection. Data display parameters are specified on the
Control page. The four buttons located in the upper right corner of
the display control when and how the information is updated. They
are grouped as either Status or Data.
