NOTE: Have HPLC-grade water or methanol flowing during this
procedure.

Once the method parameters have been downloaded to the
UV6000LP, go to the Display page to view the data. Click both
Status-On and Data-Start buttons. With the standard filter wheel in
the open position (position #1), click the Zero button. The absorbance
spectrum (upper display) should now be a relatively flat line, and the
chromatogram display (lower display) will be monitoring the detector
baseline at the three wavelengths that were specified on the Control
page. The mAU readings for the three discrete wavelengths are
displayed in the top, center section of the Display page (Figure 5.7).
Notice when the filter wheel is in position #1, all three channels read
approximately zero. The status indicator for the filter wheel also
reads
