THE ERROR LOG
PAGE
The Error Log page allows you to retrieve, view, print and clear the
detector’s status log. The status log collects major events and errors
occurring in the detector. It holds 100 events and operates on a first-
in-first-out basis. That is, after filling with 100 events, the next event
in pushes the first event collected out. The Routine Maintenance
chapter recommends viewing, printing, and clearing the on a weekly
basis.
When you first open the Error Log page, the event area will be blank.
Click on the Get button to retrieve the information from the detector
and display it. Figure 5.9 shows a sample log.

Note that the viewing area has horizontal and vertical scroll bars so
you can view all of the entries. Press the Print button to print a copy
of the displayed log. Press the Clear button to clear the log. The
Cancel button lets you escape if there is a problem in retrieving the
log. For a list of some common error messages that may appear in the
log, refer to the Log Entries section in Chapter 6 this manual .
