Field Service & Repair

Introduction
This chapter contains the step-by-step procedures necessary for
factory trained service technicians to remove and replace the major
mechanical and electrical assemblies of the detector.
CAUTION! Before beginning any of the following field service
procedures be sure that the instrument is turned off and the power
cord is disconnected from the instrument’s rear panel. Attempting
repairs with the instrument turned on or connected to an AC power
supply could result in serious injury.
NOTE: Some components in the detector can be damaged by static
electricity. Before beginning any of the following procedures, prepare a
non-conductive work surface for the detector and put on a properly
grounded anti-static wrist strap.
