Press on the cover’s metal tab and push the cover from inside
the lamp compartment to free it from the chassis wall.

Now remove the lamp cover by loosening and removing the
knurled black knob of the retaining thumbscrew holding the
cover to the lamp tray. Carefully lift off the lamp cover
(Figure 4.10).

Note the cables and connectors behind the lamps, attached to
the lamp power supply board. The larger connector is for the
deuterium lamp (3 leads) and the smaller connector is for the
tungsten-halogen lamp (2 leads).
NOTE: Some models of the UV6000LP have a captive Philips head
screw instead of the knurled black knob

NOTE: Do not try to remove the lamps from their mounting assemblies.
Remove and replace a lamp, its mount, cable, and connector as an
assembly as described in the following steps.
