If level correction fails or if there is a warning, the glass pane, the mirrow and the
lens of the objective in the optic module must be cleaned (make sure you use optics
cleaning cloth for glasses and lenses only, please see chapter
). It may also be
necessary to clean the level correction card with a slightly damp cloth and then to
repeat level correction. If level correction does not function and a defect in the device
can be excluded, a new level correction card must be provided. This can be checked
with a simulated level correction using a new high-quality photographic paper. If this
adjustment is accepted, the card must be replaced. If not, there is possibly a defect
in the device and the device must be checked at the manufacturer or by an
authorized service center and repaired if necessary.
This does not apply to REA VeriCube IR. With this device the warning can only be
avoided by making adjustments and subsequent measurements without a disc.
However, it is also possible to continue working with this device despite the warning.
