board. The external connectors include the USB and network connectors.

Main functions of the power management module:
1. Power management, achieves power on and off and internal power monitoring
through an MCU, and the main voltage needs to be monitored. With overcurrent and
overvoltage protection functions;
2. Power conversion: converts AC-DC input (about 15V) into voltage rails such as
12V/5V/3.3V, and powers other boards and functional modules on this board;
3. Battery management, including battery charging, in-position detection, battery
voltage detection; dual-battery management should be enabled for scenarios with
backup batteries.
Connector Board:
The main control connectors of VS9 are on the connector board, which has 2 USB
connectors, 1 network connector, 1 multi-function connector, and 1 backup battery
connector.
The USB and network connectors of VS8 are on the multi-parameter module. The
connector board only has a multi-function connector and a backup battery connector.
Alarm Lamp Board:
The alarm lamp is a three-color LED that can turn on in red, yellow and cyan.
Power-on/off Button Board:
For VS9, it is necessary to develop a power-on/off button board, which is mainly a switch
and a working indicator.
Touchscreen and Touchscreen Control Board
The touchscreen control panel can exchange data with the upper computer to realize the
drive function of the touch screen.
Wi-Fi
When equipped with the Wi-Fi module, the monitor can support 802.11g/n WLAN.
AC/DC Power Module
It can convert AC power into DC power.
Recorder
The recorder can receive and print data coming from the main board.

Board
For a monitor with single Mindray SpO
2
, the SpO
2
board is integrated on the
multi-parameter board. For a monitor with dual Mindray SpO
2
, a separate Mindray SpO
2
board can be selected. The SpO
2
board developed by Mindray achieves the same SpO
2
measurement performance with a smaller area and lower power consumption. The
VS9/VS8 monitor can also be equipped with SpO
2
from Nellcor and Masimo.
