3. In the Nurse Call menu, select all options of Alarm Priority and Alarm Type , set
Contact Type to Normally Open and set Signal Type to Continuous .
4. Tap to save the setting and exit the menu.
5. Enter the demo mode.
6. Cause the monitor to generate an alarm and verify the output is continuous high
level when there is an alarm.
7. Exit the demo mode and repeat step 2.
8. In the
Nurse Call menu, select all options of Alarm Priority and Alarm Type , set
Contact Type to Normally Open and set Signal Type to Pulse .
9. Repeat step 4 and 5.
10. Cause the monitor to generate an alarm and verify the output are pulses of 1s width
when there is an alarm.
4.5.6 Barcode Scanner Test
This test mainly tests the function of the barcode scanner test.

Procedure
1. Aim the barcode scanner at the barcode. The sight should be in the center of the
barcode. Adjust the size of the scanning area to fit the target barcode.
2. Pull the trigger. The barcode scanner will scan the target barcode. If the scan is
successful, a short intermediate beep sound will be made, the indicator light will
turn green, and the monitor will display the scanned characters.
4.6 Electrical safety tests
WARNING

Electrical safety tests are a proven means of detecting abnormalities that,
if undetected, could prove dangerous to either the patient or the operator.

All tests can be performed using commercially available safety analyzer
and other test devices. Maintenance personnel shall ensure the
adaptability, functional completeness and safety of the test devices, and
be familiar with their usage.

Electrical safety tests shall comply with the following standards: GB9706.1
or YY/T0841.
