A.4.2
Wi-Fi Signal Calibration
Before using the wireless network survey tool (running on a laptop) to test the network
coverage, use the monitor to calibrate the RSSI of the tool as follows:
1. Keep the monitor close to the tool. The distance between the monitor and the tool is
not greater than 30 cm. The distance between the monitor and the human body is
greater than 50 cm.
2. Move the monitor and the tool at the same time (keep the previous distance).
3. Record the RSSI values read by the tool when the monitor displays the following RSSI
values: -50 dBm, -60 dBm, -70 dBm and -80 dBm.
4. Calibrate the RSSI of the tool relative to the monitor during site survey (the RSSI of
the monitor is a criterion for wireless coverage).
A.4.3
Network Acceptance Process
Network acceptance is divided into two parts: First, the IT department of the hospital
completes required self-check items as instructed in the network acceptance table. Then
the service personnel or authorized party performs a field test to confirm the remaining
content and fills in the network acceptance table. Any failed item should be adjusted
before the monitor is installed.
During the test, enable the Wi-Fi network SSID broadcast to ensure that the Wi-Fi SSID can
be searched out.
