Engine Maintenance
Refer to the Cummins Engine Operation and
Maintenance Manual for all engine maintenance
procedures and maintenance schedules not
covered in this manual.
Engine Oil and Filter
Change the engine oil and filter as described
in the Cummins Engine Operation and Mainte-
nance Manual.
Drain the engine oil using the drain valve on the
feed table side of the engine.
The engine oil filter is located on the tunnel side
of the engine. Access the filter from the under-
side of the engine.
The crankcase fill cap is located on the feed
table side of the engine between the engine and
the feed table. The dipstick is mounted on the
feed table side of the engine. Fill to high mark
on dipstick.
Use SAE 10W40 oil and fill as follows:
Low level on dipstick = 10 Gallons
High level on dipstick = 12 Gallons
