Press (B) of the transmission cut-off set switch to adjust the
brake pedal pressing position where the transmission is set to
NEUTRAL when the transmission cut-off function is turned on.
If you release your hand from the switch, it automatically re-
turns to its original position.
For details of the cut-off position adjustment procedure, see
“METHOD FOR ADJUSTING TRANSMISSION CUT-OFF PO-
SITION (3-196)”.
POWER MODE SELECTOR SWITCH
The power mode selector switch can be used to switch the en-
gine output to match the purpose of the operation.
Each time position (A) of the switch is pressed, the mode
switches between “P” and “E light/E”.
If you release your hand from the switch, it automatically re-
turns to its original position.
The pilot lamp of the currently selected mode lights up on the
monitor.
E light mode/E mode
The engine output is low.
Use this mode for the operation with emphasis on fuel consumption, such as operation on flat ground where the
maximum power is not needed.
Switch the mode between E light mode and E mode on the monitor. For the method of switching, see “SELEC-
TION OF E light MODE OR E MODE (3-61)”.
P mode
The engine output is high.
Use the power mode for the production conscious operation.
REMARK
• To perform operations with effective fuel consumption, usually set to E light mode/E mode.
With these modes, the engine can output enough power in other works than a heavy-duty work such as
heavy digging work, and the fuel efficiency is improved as well. Also, the fuel efficiency can be improved if
the time for digging is shortened.
For the functions of E light mode and E mode, see “SELECTION OF E light MODE OR E MODE (3-61)”.
• Use P mode for the blasted rock digging work, for higher speed machine operations, and for traveling at a
high speed on a flat or uphill road.
• Even if the engine was stopped while P mode had been set, the mode becomes E light mode/E mode when
the engine is started next.
If you want to make any change to the setting at the engine start, consult your Komatsu distributor.
