2. If you are replacing the battery cable interposer card, align the battery cable

interposer card with the connector on the ServeRAID SAS controller and press
the interposer card into the connector; then, install the screw to secure the
battery cable interposer card to the ServeRAID SAS controller.

3. Connect the battery cable to the battery cable interposer card.

4. Align the ServeRAID SAS controller with the connector and the bracket on the

storage-riser-card assembly and press the controller into place.

Attention:

When you move the storage-riser-card assembly, do not allow it to

touch any components or structures inside the 3U chassis.

5. Align the storage-riser-card assembly with the guide pins and the slot in the

system-board tray cover.

6. Press the assembly into place on the bracket.

7. Reconnect the signal cables to the ServeRAID SAS controller.

8. Install the top cover (see “Installing the 3U chassis top cover” on page 137).

9. Install the 3U chassis in the iDataPlex rack (see “Installing the 3U chassis top

cover” on page 137).

Removing and replacing FRUs

FRUs must be installed only by trained service technicians.

Note:
