Inline Mode Handshaking

This option toggles the handshaking method used during Inline mode operation. Available options are

XON/XOFF, DTR, and Both. The default setting is XON/XOFF.

Strip Sent Pass-Through LFs

This is an ON/OFF toggle to enable the stripping of linefeeds on pass-through data

sent out

of the TeleBoss.

The default setting is OFF.

Strip Received Pass-Through LFs

This is an ON/OFF toggle to enable the stripping of linefeeds on pass-through data

received

by the TeleBoss.

The default setting is OFF.

Disable Serial Setup via DIP Switch

This option will disable the Serial port settings setup using the DIP Switch as discussed in the

DIP Switches

section of the Features and Accessories chapter. This is an ON/OFF toggle and this option is on I/O2 only.

The default setting is OFF.

Data Type

Data Type toggles between ASCII and BINARY to indicate the type of data being collected on this port. The

default setting is ASCII.

Change ETX to CR/LF

This is an ON/OFF toggle to set whether ETX characters in the incoming data should be converted to CR/LF

characters. The default setting is OFF.

Serial Settings as accessed via Web UI

All of the settings described above can also be configured using the Web Interface. On the left hand menu,

select the Communication option in the Settings Menu section. The click the Serial Port submenu and the

Serial Settings page will display. The drop down in the Serial I/O grey bar is used to select which serial port to

configure.

The upper “Command Port” section applies to IO2 when the Port Mode is set to COMMAND (the default).
