Click “Next” to enter a range of IP addresses
Begin by entering an IP address to start searching from
– then click on “Begin Scan”. The Net Wizard will scan
all IP addresses from the one entered ending when the last number in the search address reaches 255. You
can stop the search at any stage by clicking on Stop Scan.
Whenever the Net Wizard finds units of any type it will display them in a list on the RHS of the screen.
To add a unit to the family tree double click on the chosen entry in the list. To add all of the detected units click
on “Add All”.
If the Net Wizard has not found any connected units, you should double check the network settings on the Net
Wizard instruction screens. The Wizard scans the IP address range from the IP address you enter increment-
ing the last number until it reaches 255.
For the PC to be able to address the WorldCast Equinox
units it‟s IP address must be in the same subnet as
the PC. If you are using the DHCP
service for dynamic assigned IP addresses on your PC check that the as-
signed address is in the same subnet. If not then you must either disable DHCP and assign an IP address
manually which is in the correct range or change the IP address of the WorldCast Equinox, using the front pan-
el, to match that of the PC.
Once the WorldCast Equinox has successfully connected
to CMS application, you can also
change the WorldCast Equinox
‟s IP address to the required value of your network using the
CMS.
You must first establish the network connection in order to access the WorldCast Equinox‟s con-
figuration menus.
6.3.5. WorldCast Equinox Hardware Emulation
In order to run the CMS for evaluation purposes, you can emulate a WorldCast Equinox on the Family Tree
without having a WorldCast Equinox physically connected to the network. This may be useful to examine most
of the CMS features.
