5.8.1. Audio Profile
Selecting Audio Profile will allow you to change the default audio profile for the unit.
Main setup
– selecting audio profile
You will next be asked if you want to retrieve a previously defined audio profile. If you wish to use one of the
saved audio profiles select

and you will be presented with a list of profiles
– use the and keys to high-
light the chosen profile and press

.
If no profiles have been defined or you do not want to use them select
No
. In this case you will be presented
with a list of possible codec algorithms. The WorldCast Equinox is programmed with the software for 16 bit and
24 bit linear, 16 and 24 bit Enhanced apt-X
®
algorithms, MPEG 1 Layer II/III, G.711 and G.722.
MPEG 2/4 AAC-LC, MPEG 4 AAC LD, MPEG 4 AAC ELD and MPEG 4 AAC HE v1/v2 are all chargeable algo-
rithms. Please contact APT to purchase. These are easily upgraded via NMS with an Upgrade code.
Selecting algorithm
Note:
Selecting the G.711 algorithm over ISDN allows you to interoperate with standard telephone
lines. Networks in North America use G.711 uLaw
– networks in other countries generally (but not
always) use G.711 ALaw
AES Passthrough modes are used with Dolby Encoder and Decoder units in a simplex fashion.
