Mode/Status configuration screen
You can select X.21, IP, SIP or ISDN as the Primary network connection. Alternatively you can select Standby
– this puts the WorldCast Equinox into a standby state where it will not generate any audio traffic or any
alarms. You can also select X.21, IP or ISDN as the secondary Backup network connection
– or disable the
secondary Backup connection.
If you select X.21 as the backup connection you must also select an audio profile to use. The audio profile se-
lected must also match the bitrate of the X.21 connection.
If you select IP as the backup connection you must also select an IP speed dial to use. Whenever the primary
connection fails both master and slave will initiate an IP connection using the selected speed dial.
If you select ISDN as the backup connection you must also select an ISDN speed dial to use. Whenever the
primary connection fails the master will use the selected speed dial to initiate an ISDN connection to the slave
and the slave will use the audio profile associated with the selected speed dial as its default profile when an-
swering the incoming ISDN calls.
