5.5.4. Auxiliary Data
Auxiliary data is a user defined data stream that is embedded into the audio stream and then recovered and
presented at the remote codec. The auxiliary data interface is an RS232 formatted 9 way „D‟ type female con-
nector sited on the rear panel of the WorldCast Equinox.
Note
: For G711 and G722 algorith
ms, aux data can be set as „on‟ but aux will not actually pass as it
is not supported for either algorithm. This is implemented in this fashion so that the user does not
have to enable/disable auxiliary data when changing algorithms.
