placeholder takes on the format of an FQDN. Typically this will be the address that resolves to the ma-
chine hosting the sip server e.g. sip:[email protected]. The default password for the local users is:
password. The password fields are not used in peer-to-peer mode. In SIP server mode, enter the pass-
word that matches the registered password on the SIP server, if this server has authentication enabled.
5.7.3. The Address Book
Enter here the SIP addresses of the SIP enabled codecs that your Equinox unit is to connect to in your network
frequently. The formatting of the SIP addresses follows the same rules as the local SIP users.
The main SIP menu enables access to the SIP options on the unit. Use the

light any of these options. See table 3.1 on page 18 for more information. To configure an item highlight it and
press ENT.

5.7.4. Setup Address book
The address book is required to be setup to contain all of the SIP addresses which might be dialed. There are
250 entries. Select the SIP address you wish to write over and use the alpha numeric keypad to delete the de-
fault address and enter your own addresses. Note that it is possible to change between upper and lower case
characters by pressing the down arrow.

5.7.5. Clear Address Book
It is possible to wipe all 250 entries by using this selection. It will prompt for
the password „123‟ to ensure that
this is definitely the required command.
