You can also use the ISDN speed dial directory from the idle screen to initiate an ISDN connection. From the
idle screen press # - the screen will then display a list of ISDN speed dials.
ISDN Dialing from a list
Use the and keys (or enter the number of the speed dial required) to highlight the selected speed dial and
press
Ent
to initiate the connection. The WorldCast Equinox can obtain all of the ISDN numbers, inverse multi-
plexing scheme and audio profile from the ISDN speed dial. The screen will display progress message as it at-
tempts to connect the B channels (e.g. dialing, connecting, connected, failed).
5.2.2. ISDN Dialing and Dual Destination
This feature is automatically selected whenever you are making ISDN calls using G.722 Mono 64kbps. You
can connect two calls to two independent destinations
– calls can be set up and cleared on an individual basis
without affecting the audio on the other channel. The Left audio channel is used for the first call and the Right
audio channel is used for the second call. Audio is not copied from left to right channel as it is with all other
mono modes. Please note that dual destination is only supported when using G722.
Dual destination calls can only be made on B1 or B2 ISDN channels.
5.2.3. IP Dialing
This feature allows you to connect to a remote codec quickly, using only the front panel, over IP whenever the
primary connection is set to IP mode.
You can select an IP speed dial by entering # followed by the number of the speed-dial followed by

). The WorldCast Equinox can obtain all of the IP addresses and audio profile from the IP speed
dial. Note that both ends of the connection will require the speed dial to be initiated.
IP Speed Connect
To initiate an IP connection manually press # (when the primary connection is IP) in the idle screen. The
screen will display a list of IP speed dials.
