The Main Setup USER menu enables access to any one of thirteen options as shown
– these are generally
non network or audio related items such as passwords, auxiliary data setup, remote status setup etc.. Use the
or key to move to and highlight any of these options. To configure an item highlight it and press

5.5.1. Primary Connection
The Primary Connection encompasses several related items: the network connection (X.21, IP, SIP,
ISDN); the
algorithm selected (16 bit and 24 bit linear, apt-X
®
, Enhanced apt-X
®
, MPEG1 Layer II/III, MPEG4 AAC-LD,
MPEG4 AAC-LC, MPEG4 AAC HEv2, G.722, G.711; bit rate (64kbit/s, 128kbit/s etc.); the mode (stereo, mono
etc.) and whether the unit is operating as Master or Slave.
Caution:
It is not advisable to change primary connection or audio profile during an active audio ses-
sion - the WorldCast Equinox may lose audio signal or produce unpredictable results.
To change Primary Connection, highlight the option in the Main Menu and press
Ent
. A sub-menu offering a
choice of network connections will be displayed.
Primary connection setup
Standby is selected to force the WorldCast Equinox into standby mode – audio outputs are mut-
ed and alarms are disabled
Codec-X21 is selected to configure the WorldCast Equinox for X.21 as the primary connection
Codec-IP is selected to configure the WorldCast Equinox for IP (Ethernet) as the primary con-
nection
Codec-ISDN is selected to configure the WorldCast Equinox for ISDN as the primary connection
