L+R/2:
This feature sums the left and right input PCM streams and divides these by 2 to form
stereo-ised mono channel. This means the user will receive all the content on the left and
right channels but lose the stereo separation. This would be useful when a stereo prima-
ry channel is required but have a lower bandwidth backup using a mono channel.
This feature is available in all mono modes.
Select the input and output clip levels (0-24 dBu).
You can select one of three loopback test options:-
Loop Mode
Description of meaning
Off
This is the normal mode of operation and disables all loopback
modes on WorldCast Equinox
Local Loopback
When active, this mode loops the audio present at the input XLR
connectors to the output XLR connectors. The connection is made af-
ter the encoder/decoder so local loopback tests the audio encoder
and decoder as well as the input and output stages. No data will be
passed to or received from the network
Remote Loopback
When active, the audio received from the network is looped back to
the network, passing through the WorldCast Equinox
‟s decoder and
encoder on the way. While Remote Loopback is enabled, the audio
received from the network is still sent to the audio out XLR connect-
ors (digital and analog) so the audio can be still be monitored by the
