Entering a new subnet mask
Overtype the displayed information (you can use

Note:
The WorldCast Equinox
‟s current Subnet Mask will remain unchanged - it must be restarted
before the new IP address is utilized. Whenever you press
Esc
to leave the IP menu you will be
asked to press
Ent
to confirm that the unit is being restarted. Pressing
Esc
instead of
Ent
will revert
back to the menu system without changing anything.
Note:
The WorldCast Equinox supports subnets of 8 or more devices
– the Subnet Mask must there-
fore end in a value equal to 248 or smaller.

The IP gateway address of the unit can be configured using this option. You will then be presented with a sub
menu allowing you to amend the entry.

Pref DNS
SIP addresses can be configured with IP addresses or DNS names. This means that the calling device
has to know the SIP address of the device it would like to call. A valid SIP address is composed of a user
name, the "@" character and the IP address of the called device (e.g. [email protected]). If
this
IP
address
also
has
a DNS
name, this
address
could
look
like this:
[email protected]. Pref DNS resolves the IP Address for SIP addresses configured with
domain names.
