Input pulse stretching is defaulted to off.
While using Remote Status either codec in a connected pair can control the other codec‟s alarm relays.
Note:
Remote status over IP is not supported when in SIP
5.5.7. Remote Input
This option is only available only when the Remote Status is enabled with front panel control. When selected
the display will show the levels being sent to the remote unit alarm relays. Use the buttons 1 to 7 on the keypad
to toggle the state of each of the seven remote alarm relays.
Note that the levels will continue to be sent as long as Remote Status is enabled. The state of the control in-
formation being sent is displayed next to the Remote Input entry. It will be in the form of a binary number
– a 0
bit indicates an inactive signal and a 1 bit indicates an active signal
– the leftmost bit corresponds to Opto-
coupler/Relay 1.
If Remote Status is disabled then the display will show XXXXXXX.
5.5.8. Test Alarm Contacts
This feature will allow you to directly control the state of the alarm relays on the local WorldCast Equinox.
When selected the display will show the state of each alarm relay. Use the buttons 1 to 7 on the keypad to tog-
gle the state of each relay. Note that the operation of the summary alarm is not affected. To finish the relay test
press
Esc
and the normal operation of the alarm relays will be resumed.
5.5.9. LCD Contrast
This feature allows you to change the contrast level of the LCD display on the front panel. Use the

keys to adjust the contrast to the desired level

when finished.
5.5.10.
Password Setup
Using this option the various passwords used by the WorldCast Equinox can be set.
Three levels of password are supported.
View Only – idle screen is displayed but you are locked out of the menu screens and are unable
to make or clear calls
User – menu screens are available but connections can be made using predefined speed dials
and audio profiles only.
Administrator – connections and configurations may be changed.
