How to add a World-
Cast Equinox unit
with a known IP ad-
dress to the Main
Screen
One new WorldCast Equinox was successfully added to the Family Tree by entering a known IP ad-
dress
– one added IP address is not available
Note:
The IP address of the unit as well as the serial number and name of the unit (if configured) are
displayed. If CMS cannot connect to a particular unit it will show the serial number as (Not Available)
and add a
graphic.
If you do not know which IP address is set on the WorldCast Equinox units, you may run the Net Wizard to de-
tect them automatically (refer to the next section).
6.3.4. Run the Net Wizard for Auto-Detection
The Net Wizard provides for automatic detection of each WorldCast Equinox connected to the network by its
corresponding IP address. The Net Wizard scans an IP address range and reports back the detected World-
Cast Equinoxs. You may choose whether to add all or a selection of the detected frames to the Main Screen.
Click on “Net Wizard” and follow the Wizard‟s instructions.
