7.7. Connecting a WorldCast Equinox to a Telos Zephyr

Note:

With release 1.0, only the following algorithms are available: Eapt-X16, Eapt-X24 and MPEG

3.

The only compatible modes between WorldCast Equinox and CCS PrimaLT are over ISDN at 64kbps (G722,
MPEG Layer 2 and MPEG Layer 3) and 128kbps (MPEG Layer 2).

To set up the Zephyr make the following settings:-

Transmit

–set to algorithm required; MPEG Layer 2, Layer 3, G.722 for 64kbps connec-
tions and MPEG Layer 2 Mono for 128kbps (only connection on Zephyr for
128kbps CCS)

Receive

– MPEG Layer 2, Layer 3, G.722

Rate

– 64kbps 48kHz

Note:

Zephyr does not support 44.1kHz. It also doesn't support 32kHz on Layer 2. For Layer 3 calls

the Zephyr needs set to be L3 Dual on the Transmit side.

Note:

Zephyr will display a level meter out on the Equinox if there is no audio present. This is a

Zephyr issue and can be proved by connecting the Zephyr to the Prima, RE etc.
