Baud rate setup
The following screen allows you to choose the data rate
– with rates up to 9600 baud for embedded auxiliary
data and 115,400 baud for IP auxiliary data.
If the WorldCast Equinox is configured for MPEG Layer 2 then the screen will allow you to select
Compati-
bility
. Selecting Compatibility presents the following screen. You can choose between RE66x (uses special
format for RE codecs) or the standard method of embedding Aux Data.
Compatibility setup
Note:
Enabling or disabling embedded auxiliary data will cause a short interruption to the audio if the
Equinox is connected
Note:
Sending Auxiliary Data over an IP link is possible only if the primary connection is IP
– this op-
tion will not be offered otherwise
Note:
AUX/Relay data will not work over a separate IP stream in multicast. It will only work in em-
bedded. This is because aux/relay is sent over a UDP stream, not an RTP stream which is the one
that is multicasted
Note:
If embedded Auxiliary Data and/or embedded relays are selected and input silence de-
tect/bandwidth flexing is detected, auxiliary data will be suspended until audio has been detected.
5.5.5. Remote Status
Note also that prior to setting up the GPIO option, the aux data must be setup first. Aux must be set to 2400 or
greater.
The front panel menu item Remote status can be changed as follows:-
