Chapter 2 Alarm

Sub-code Description

Each subcode represents a timeslot. The former 63 timeslots are used for optical port

1,and the latter 63 timeslots are used for optical port 2.

Effect on the System

The signal transmitted on the SDH link is interrupted.

Possible Causes

The receive unit of upstream signal source equipment detects invalid signals. For

example, the signals contain the TU-AIS alarm.

The signal sent from the upstream equipment to NR8250 equipment contains the

LP-RDI information.

The RTUB board that reports the alarm is faulty.

Handling Procedure

Check whether NR8250 upstream equipment reports alarms such as TU-AIS.

If yes, handle the alarm by referring to the TU-AIS alarm of the NR8250

equipment.

If no, go to step 2.

Ensure that the signals sent by upstream equipment to NR8250 equipment do not

contain the TU-RDI signal.

The alarm is caused by RTUB board failure. Replace the board.

2.2.12 134237745 MS-AIS

Alarm Property

Alarm Code: 134237745

Alarm Information: MS Alarm Indication Signal (MS-AIS) alarm. The alarm is reported

if K2[6-8] in more than three consecutive frames is 111.

Alarm Level: Major

Alarm Type: Communications Alarm

Sub-code Description

Sub-code 1: Optical port 1 on the RTUB board;

Sub-code 2: Optical port 2 on the RTUB board.

Effect on the System

The receive signal transmitted on the SDH link is interrupted.
