Alarm Information: The alarm is reported if the quality of SDH frame signal received
by the board degrades and Bit24 error codes of the multiplex section exceed the
threshold.

Sub-code 7: Path 3 of optical port 2 (LMT displays "STM-2-Channel3");
l
Sub-code 8: Path 4 of optical port 2 (LMT displays "STM-2-Channel4");
l
Sub-code 10: STM-1 of optical port 2 (LMT displays "2STM-1").
Effect on the System
The number of Bit8 error codes in the signal received by the board exceeds the threshold.
This alarm may affect the signal service quality.
Possible Causes
l
The alarm may be generated together with other high-level alarms.
l
The fiber connector is not clean or the optical module is not matched.
l
The signal source of the upstream equipment is faulty.
l
The NR8250 equipment fails to receive upstream service signals.
Handling Procedure
1.
Check whether alarms with higher severity levels are generated.
l
If yes, refer to the corresponding handling suggestions to clear the alarms.
l
If no, go to step 2.
2.
Check whether the fiber cable and optical module between NR8250 equipment and
uplink equipment are connected properly.
l
If yes, insert the optical fiber and optical module again.
l
If no, go to step 3.
3.
Check whether the board for sending signals of NR8250 equipment and uplink
equipment are operating properly.
l
If yes, go to step 4.
l
If no, replace the board.
4.
The alarm is caused by the failure of the unit for receiving signals in the RUTB board.
Replace the board.
