Possible Causes
The description of alarm sub-codes are as follows:

Sub-code 0: ODU failure
l
Sub-code 1: ODU failure
l
Sub-code 2: ODU failure
l
Sub-code 3: ODU failure
l
Sub-code 4: ODU failure
l
Sub-code 5: The power of the IF signal sent from IDU to ODU is low.
l
Sub-code 6: The power of the RF signal received by ODU is low.
l
Sub-code 7: ODU failure.
l
Sub-code 8: RMU board or IF cable failure.
l
Sub-code 9: ODU failure
l
Sub-code 10: RMU board or IF cable failure.
l
Sub-code 11: ODU failure
l
Sub-code 13: RMU board failure
Handling Procedure
Process the sub-codes as follows:
l
Sub-code 0: Power off and then restart the ODU. If the alarm persists, replace the
ODU.
l
Sub-code 1: Power off and then restart the ODU. If the alarm persists, replace the
ODU.
l
Sub-code 2: Power off and then restart the ODU. If the alarm persists, replace the
ODU.
l
Sub-code 3: Power off and then restart the ODU. If the alarm persists, replace the
ODU.
l
Sub-code 4: Replace the ODU.
l
Sub-code 5: Power off and then restart the ODU. If the alarm persists, use a shorter
IF cable.
l
Sub-code 6: Ensure that the ODU Rx frequency on local site matches ODU Tx
frequency on remote site. If the alarm persists, increase remote ODU transmit power.
If the alarm still remains, replace the ODU.
l
Sub-code 7: Replace the ODU.
l
Sub-code 8: Replace the IF cable. If the alarm persists, replace the RMU board.
l
Sub-code 9: Replace the ODU.
l
Sub-code 10: Replace the IF cable. If the alarm persists, replace the RMU board.
l
Sub-code 11: Replace the ODU.
l
Sub-code 13: Replace the RMU board.
