Effect on the System
Ethernet traffic at the port where an alarm is reported is interrupted.
Possible Causes
1.
Network cable failure.
2.
Network port failure.
Handling Procedure
1.
Perform Ethernet MAC loopback.

If yes, replace the Ethernet cable.
l
If no, go to step 2.
2.
Replace the board.

Alarm Information: The alarm is reported if LMEP does not receive the CCM packet
of RMEP within 3.5 CCM periods.

Effect on the System
It does not affect the traffic carried by the board. The purpose is to inform the administrator
that the link may be blocked.
Possible Causes
1.
No MEP is configured at the opposite-end NE.
2.
The bearer layer is faulty.
3.
The network is seriously congested.
Handling Procedure
1.
Check whether the MEP is correctly configured at the opposite end.

If yes, go to step 2.
l
If no, configure the MEP parameters matching the local end.
2.
Check whether the bearer layer is normal.
l
If yes, check whether alarms associated with other modules exist and handle
them.
