Handling Procedure

Remove and insert the corresponding board;

Replace the corresponding board;

Replace PM board;

Replace the backplane.

Alarm Information: This alarm is reported if the fan speed is too slow.

Alarm Level: Warning

Alarm Type: Equipment Alarm

Sub-code 3: Fan 3 Failure

Effect on the System

This alarm may cause the equipment overtemperature alarm and causes boards or

the system to operate improperly, the system performance to degrade, and services to

interrupt.

Possible Causes

The fan fails.

Handling Procedure

Replace the fan. If the alarm persists, the shelf may be faulty because the power supply

to the fan is introduced from the backplane. Replace the shelf.

Check whether the fan is faulty.

If yes, replace the fan.

If no, go to step 2.

Check if the shelf is faulty. If yes, replace the shelf.
