Create generic I/O module
For certain controllers, you cannot use the EDS file provided by the ODVA. In these cases,
you must create a generic I/O module in the controller for the cyclic communication.
Procedure
Proceed as follows to create a generic I/O module:
1.
In your controller, via "New module" create a new "I/O module", "Generic" type.
2.
In the controller, enter the lengths for the process data for cyclic communication, which
you have selected in STARTER, r2067[0] (input), r2067[1] (output), for example:
Standard telegram 2/2.
3.
In STARTER, set the same values for IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and
the Name of Station as in the controller (see Communication settings for Ethernet/IP
(Page 208)).
