Configuring the Plug PC for HiPath 3000, HG 1500, and
HiPath Xpressions Compact
The next step is to configure your HiPath 3000, HG1500, and Xpressions Compact within the
Plug PC.
Procedure
1.
Click Administration > Managed devices. The "Managed devices" window opens.

Click New. The "New managed device" window opens. The following parameters must be
entered:

Host / IP address
●
Model. In this options field, one of the following devices must be selected: HiPath 3000,
HG1500, or HiPath Xpressions Compact.
●
Serial / MAC address
●
Name
●
Active. This check box must be activated.

Click Save. The changes are saved. In the "Managed devices" window, the created device
is displayed in the "Overview of the managed devices" table. In this table, the entered pa-
rameters are displayed. In the menu on the left hand side, the IP address of the device is
displayed under the "Managed devices" menu item.

Monitoring success
Once this is all done you should be able to find your configured devices on the SSDP server.
Please note that the SSDP server connection will be reset when you add managed devices via
SSDP remote connection. You can now access the Plug PC, the HG 1500, and the HiPath
Xpressions Compact via Smart Services Assistant, and your HiPath 3000 via Manager E.
Please note that if you access SSDP via SIRA, Manager E on the SIRA server will be used. If
you access SSDP directly, you need the latest Manager E installed on your remote PC because
in this case your local Manager E will be used.
