License Keys

Note: If you purchase a storage capacity upgrade, a License
Certificate to enable the additional capacity is included
with the upgrade.
• OST - Enables OpenStorage backup with Symantec OST. (License
Certificate is included with all DXi8500 models.)
• Data-at-Rest Encryption - Enables the use of the Data-at-Rest
Encryption capability to secure all data stored on the DXi8500.

Adding a License Key
Add a license key to enable new functionality on the DXi8500. To install
a license key, you must first obtain a License Certificate containing an
authorization code.
Contact your Quantum sales representative to purchase a license. After
you purchase the license, you will receive a License Certificate
containing an authorization code.
To add a license key, locate the License Certificate, and then perform the
following steps:
1 Open a Web browser on a computer with Internet access.
2 Enter http://www.quantum.com/licensekeys in the browser address
box.
The
License Key Management page displays (see Figure 247 ).
