5. Peripheral Connector
This connector is used to connect a Programming Device such as a comput-
er running SSS or a Programming Console. The baud rate depends upon
the Programming Device that is connected, so be sure to set the baud rate
on the Communications DIP Switch. (See below.)
6. Communications DIP Switch
Sets the CPU Unit’s communications specifications.

7. Host Link Communications Selector
Set the switch to the communications specification desired for the host link
connector.
8. Host Link Connector
This connector is used for RS-232C or RS-422 communications. Select
RS-232C or RS-422 communications with the host link communications se-
lector (7). The PERIPHERAL/HOST LINK indicators indicate whether a de-
vice is connected to the left or right CPU Unit.
