Choosing the best location for the display
For best readability, the display must be protected from glare and have the correct height and
angle. A suitable location for the display must be defined before installation.
In most cases the display will be mounted as follows:
• Panel
• Desktop
• Bulkhead
• Ceiling
Tip
If several displays are mounted on the bridge for use with various systems, we suggest that
you install a display selector switch. A display selector switch allows you to set up the MF90
system (or any other system) to be viewed on any display. The configuration can easily be
adjusted to match current operational requirements.

Choosing the best location for the Processor Unit
The Processor Unit can be installed inside a console, inside a suitable cabinet, in a 19" rack
or on a desk. Make sure that ample ventilation is provided to avoid overheating.
The Processor Unit is normally mounted on the bridge.
The physical position of the Processor Unit must be chosen to fit the available cable lengths
between the computer and the other units it connects to. Make sure that enough space is
made available for maintenance purposes. To allow future maintenance we strongly advice
that you mount the unit with its rear and front panels available for easy access. Observe the
limitations due to the cable lengths.
