Tools, equipment and consumables required
for installation
To install the MF90 system, all necessary tools and equipment for mechanical work, cabinet
installation and electrical wiring must be available.
It is not practical to provide a detailed list of all necessary tools and equipment. You must
be equipped with a standard set of tools. This tool set must comprise the normal tools for
electronic and electromechanical tasks. This includes different screwdriver types, pliers,
spanners, a cable stripper, a soldering iron, etc. Each tool must be provided in various sizes.
We recommend that all tools are demagnetized to protect your equipment. However, you
must make sure that the following specialized tools are available.
• All necessary tools and consumables required for welding
• All necessary tools and consumables required for physical installation of units, cabinets
and racks
• All necessary tools and consumables required for electrical installations
• A crane (or other lifting device) capable of lifting the entire hull unit
If you need specific consumables, or if special tools and/or test instruments are required,
these are identified in the relevant procedure(s).

Personnel qualifications
The installation of the MF90 system is a demanding task. Installation tasks must only be
done by fully trained personnel.
As a minimum, the following certified personnel must be available:
• Naval architects
• Welders
• Electricians
• Project manager
