Setting up a pulse sweep
You can set up and run a pulse sweep from the front panel of the Model 2461 or over a remote
interface using SCPI or Test Script Processor (TSP
®
) commands.
Setting up a pulse sweep from the front panel
To set up a pulse sweep from the front panel:
If you will be enabling the measure function, select your measure settings before setting up the
pulse-measure sweep. For more information about setting up measurements, see
(on page 2-99).
1. Press the
MENU
key and under Source, select
Pulse
. The Pulse Settings screen is displayed.

2. Next to Pulse Type, select the type of pulse sweep you want to create. Based on the type of
pulse sweep you select, different parameters are displayed on the screen.
3. Make selections appropriate for the pulse type you selected. See the table below for details about
the options.
4. Swipe down to see additional options and make selections appropriate for your pulse.

5. Select
Generate

6. To run the pulse sweep, press the front-panel
TRIGGER
key.
