Chapter 13. Configuring TCP/IP Parameters

Carry out the procedures in this chapter only if you want use ‘Classical IP Over ATM’ functions on
the ATM Workgroup Switch.

Procedure

To configure the TCP/IP parameters for the ATM Workgroup Switch, perform the following steps:

1

Assign a unique IP address and subnetwork mask to the ATM Workgroup Switch, as
described in “IP Address and Subnetwork Mask” on page 104, using the command:

set device ip_address

2

Set the IP address of the default gateway, as described in “Default Gateway” on page 105,
using the command:

set device default_gateway

3

Set the IP address of the ARP server, as described in “ARP Server” on page 105, using the
command:

set device arp_server

4

Return to “Procedure 2: Configuring the ATM Workgroup Switch” on page 24.


