Chapter 10. Configuring Basic Workgroup Switch Parameters
Procedure
To configure the basic default parameters for the ATM Workgroup Switch, perform the following steps:

Set the user and administrator passwords as described in “Setting
Passwords” on page 86, using the command:
set device password

Set the internal clock as described in “Setting the Internal Clock” on
page 88, using the command:
set clock
Recommended

Set the name of the workgroup switch as described in “Switch Name” on
page 89, using the command:
set device name
Recommended

Set the contact information as described in “Service Contact Information”
on page 89, using the commands:
set device location
set device contact

Set the console prompt as described in “Console Prompt” on page 90,
using the command:
set terminal prompt

Set the console timeout value as described in “Console Timeout” on
page 90, using the command:
set terminal time_out

Set the ATM address of the workgroup switch as described in “Setting the
ATM Address of the Workgroup Switch” on page 92, using the command:
set device atm_address
This resets the ATM subsystem.
