Chapter 11. Configuring Ports and Media Modules
This chapter describes the procedures for configuring modules and ports. Also, “Default Settings for ATM
Modules and Ports” on page 94 describes how the workgroup switch handles the default settings of
modules and ports.
Procedure
To configure the default local parameters for the ATM Workgroup Switch, perform the following steps:

Connect the ATM media modules in the Expansion Unit to the network as
described in “Connecting ATM Media Modules to the Network” on page 95,
using the command:
set module

Enable the ports that will be used, and define their interface type type
(UNI, SSI, or NNI), as described in “Enabling ATM Ports and Setting
Interface Types” on page 96, using the command:
set port
