Using diagnostic spectra
Often the spectrum reveals information regarding the hardware or software parameters
that should be adjusted. The following spectra occur with explanations about problems
leading to their appearance.
Lamp scan
Running a lamp scan verifies system integrity and indicates whether the correct pa-
rameters for the best possible trace are being used. The following spectrum shows the
trace resulting from a lamp scan run with a known good lamp.
