IP phone, analog phone and software phone will be assigned an extension
number while they are being installed. Please refer to Chapter 2 Installing
InterPBX communication system.
Group Answering Option
When extension members are not available, the calls can be forwarded to
another extension or Transfer Option menu under VMS Server. Under Transfer
Options, it allows the system to route the calls to other extensions, operator,
leave a message or other alternatives. Transfer Options has two selections for
voice mail enabled (VM) or disabled (AA). Voice Mail selection allows callers to
leave messages, but Auto Attendant selection doesn’t. Callers are allowed to
leave message or not according to the settings under Answer Option. Note that
calls directed to extension groups will be answered according to Group Answer
Option. The incoming calls will be answered according to Personal Answer
Option when callers dial extension numbers directly.
