Before installing the SoftPhone, be sure to enter the License Key on the
Blaze/Savanna Server set up page. Please login to the Blaze/Savanna
Server and then go to Main Menu>Operation Management>General
Information. Click “Add” and then enter your license key.
Go to Main Menu>Extension Management>InterPhone List. Click the
“Add” button to create a SoftPhone extension.
Enter the extension number of the SoftPhone.
Select “SoftPhone” from the Phone Type list.
Enter the password of this extension to allow this extension user to edit
Personal Options via InterClient. The password must be numbers. If you
create SoftPhones via Auto Discovery, the password will be blank by
default.
Enter the Network Adapter MAC Address of the extension user’s
computer. MAC is a Network hardware address. You can input the
command “C:\ipconfig/all” to get its Physical Address.
You can set the other items later. For the setup of the other items, please refer to
Chapter 5 Extension Management/Set IP Phone, SoftPhone and Virtual
Extensions.
2. Install and Set the SoftPhone Software
To install and set SoftPhones and USB Phones, please refer to the above section
“Create SoftPhones via Auto Discovery.”
Increase Virtual Phones
Virtual Phone has the same functions as IP Phones, SoftPhones and Analog
Phones, like Voice Mail, Forward, Message Notifications, and other personal
configurations. You can assign your virtual phone to receive specific messages.
If your employees often work outside the office, like your drivers, you can
create virtual phones for them. They can then have their own specific extension
numbers and listen to their messages anytime.
