9. REASSEMBLY (Refer to Fig. 10A.7)

1. Position outlet housing (37) shaft end down. Lubricate shaft seal (36) with petroleum jelly

and place into position within outlet housing, garter spring up. Using seal installing tool
(Fig. 10A.25), (refer to SERVICE/ SPECIAL TOOLS in this SECTION), bottom seal into
outlet housing against shoulder. Install washer (35, Fig. 10A.14) over seal. Press bearing
(33, Fig. 10A.26) onto shaft (34) and secure with retaining ring (32). Use a "bullet" or plastic
tape over shaft splines to prevent damage to seal. Lubricate shaft end with petroleum jelly and
carefully push shaft through seal until bearing bottoms in outlet housing and secure with spiral
lock ring (31, Fig. 10A.13).

2. Install square cut sealing ring (28) into outlet housing. Install O-ring (29) and back up ring (30)

onto cartridge kit (

, Fig. 10A.12) outlet support plate hub. Carefully install cartridge kit (

over shaft and into outlet housing with one of the chamfers on ring in alignment with outlet port.
Install O-ring (27) over cartridge and into groove in outlet housing.

3. Install inlet housing (17, Fig. 10A.11) in position; move back and forth until cartridge pins drop

into alignment holes within cover. Turn cover slightly until scribe marks and bolt holes are in
line. Oil and torque mounting bolts (16) 205 ± 10 [Nm]. Turn pump shaft by hand to verify
freedom of cartridge.
