8. Put the spring set removed into 1.559.0221 spring compression tool. Slowly thread the spring

bolt out (4, Fig. 14.46) until the springs are completely free.

9. Remove the spring bolt (4) from tool, the spring front seat (1), spring rear seat (5), outer spring

(2) and inner spring (3).

54. REASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

1. Put the outer and inner spring (2 and 3, Fig. 14.46), spring rear seat (5) and the spring front seat

(1), into 1.559.0221 spring compression tool.

2. Install the spring bolt (4) into the spring compression tool and thread the bolt in until the bolt

contacts rear spring seat (5). Thread the bolt in until an installation dimension equal to 836 [mm]
(B) has been reached.

3. Attach the sling to the spring’s assembly and install them into track frame. Slowly thread the

spring bolt out (4) until the track springs have been completely released in the track frame and
remove the bolt.

4. Install track rollers to track frame, refer to TRACK ROLLER in this Section.

5. Install track frame to machine, refer to TRACK FRAME AND PIVOT SHAFT in this Section.

6. Install the front idler, refer to FRONT IDLER in this Section.

7. Install the track chain, refer to SECTION 15 for this procedure.
