GENERATOR STRUCTURE
The generator consists of the following parts: stator, rotor; cov-
ers from the side of contact rings with built - in rectifying unit, having
three adding diodes; the drive side cover; the brush holder with inte-
grate voltage regulator, the fan and the pulley.
The stator is assembled from separate plates connected in a
package and has 36 slots in which the three-phase winding is incorpo-
rated, connected on the circuit « double star ».
The rotor consists of the steel bushing pressed-on on the shaft
with the excitation coil and steel poles overlapping the winding and
joined to the bushing.
The cover from the contact rings side has ventilating windows.
In a cover is built -in the rectifying unit.
The cover from the drive side has ventilating windows. In a
cover the bearing is installed.
The fan and the pulley are installed on the alternator shaft with
key and are fixed with a nut and a washer.
The generating installation has the seasonal adjusting of voltage
by the screw, which is taking place on brush holder case. At the turned
out screw the summer adjusting is provided, at screw screwed up to
stop

STARTER
The starter 25.3708-20 (fig. 47) consists of the electric motor,
the drive mechanism and the electromagnetic relay. The starter electric
motor is of direct current, serial excitation, with a feed from storage
batteries. For maintenance of reliable connection with "mass" of a ve-
hicle on the starter cover from the collector side there is a bolt for con-
nection of flexible bus.
