15 Install the gearbox control lever in a neutral position. Crank
the engine crankshaft by starter during 120-150 sec. The duration of
continuous starter work should be about 20 seconds with breaks be-
tween switches 60-120 seconds, all this time the governor clamp
should be in a position of fuel delivery on.
16 Disconnect the special strainer and pipe. Connect the outlet
pipe to the fuel filter of thin cleaning and inlet pipe to the filter of
rough cleaning of fuel, previously having preserved internal cavities of
the specified pipes, drain preservation mixture from filters of thin and
rough fuel cleaning.
17 Pour in each cylinder 60-70 ml of working-preservation oil,
at temperature 70-80
o
C through openings in intake manifolds, previ-
ously having removed the connecting branch pipe and having con-
nected a special hose.
Note:
Preservation of the cylinders make with oil from container
intended for preservation of cylinders.
18 Crank the engine crankshaft by starter within 20-30 seconds.
The governor clamp should be in the fuel delivery off position.
Note: In case of occurrence of fire in cylinders make the
preservation repeatedly, meeting to the requirements.
19 Drain the working-preservation oil from the engine sump
and the gearbox case. Screw in the plugs.
20 Connect to a tip M10 of the injector drain pipe a hose from
the special pump, to which connect a suction strainer and dip it in the
container with the well filtered mixture of fuel with the dope AKOR-1,
having temperature 70-80
o
C. Remove the cylinder head covers and
unscrew on 1-2 revolutions the bolts of fastening of the steel pipes to
the injectors of the fourth and fifth cylinders. Prime by the special
pump the injectors drain rail so long as from under bolts of fastening
will go the preservation mixture without air bulbs) then screw in the
bolts and install the cylinder head covers.
21 Drain from the engine cooling system the passivating solu-
tion at the removed filler cap. Then close the cap and drainage cocks.
Note: It is allowable to drain the passivating solution after the
vehicle leaving of the room.
22 In the engine sump and in the gearbox fill working oils ac-
cording to the Maintenance Instruction.

THE CRANKING OF THE POWER UNIT AFTER
PRESERVATION IS NOT ALLOWED.
